A woman who was found lying injured in the middle of a street in San Jose’s Alviso neighborhood this morning has died, according to police.
San Jose police Officer Jermaine Thomas said the death is being investigated as suspicious, and that police have located two possible crime scenes in the 1300 block of Michigan Avenue.
The investigation began at about 6:45 a.m., when officers responded to a report of a person down in that block. They arrived to find the victim suffering from serious injuries, Thomas said.
She died after she was taken to a hospital. Police did not release her identity.
Thomas said there is a possibly the victim may have been dragged a couple blocks by a vehicle.
