California Department of Transportation crews will begin overnight closures on U.S. Highway 101 in San Mateo County early Tuesday to make way for the demolition of the Peninsula Avenue overcrossing.
Caltrans will shut down all northbound lanes Tuesday through Thursday, from midnight to 4 a.m., between Third and Peninsula avenues in San Mateo.
All southbound lanes will be closed Friday and Saturday, from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., between Broadway and Poplar Avenue in Burlingame.
Detours will be in place while the demolition is under way. Caltrans warns residents that the work will likely be noisy.
