Watsonville police are looking for multiple suspects in the shooting of an 18-year-old Watsonville man late Monday night.
The shooting was reported around 11:35 p.m. in the first block of Herman Avenue.
Arriving officers found the victim, Elder Rojas, lying in the street with gunshot wounds to his upper torso and legs, police said.
Rojas was flown to a San Jose trauma center and is expected to survive.
Officers learned that someone in a dark-colored compact car shot Rojas as he rode his bicycle on Herman Avenue, police said.
Police are investigating whether the shooting was gang-related and are asking anyone with information to call investigators at (831) 768-3350 or the crime tip-line at (831) 728-3544.
