The Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office today identified the man killed in a solo-vehicle crash in San Jose early Saturday morning as 22-year-old Oakland resident Victor Cabrera Aguilera.
The crash was reported just after midnight on a connector ramp from southbound U.S. Highway 101 to southbound Interstate Highway 880.
Initial reports indicated that the driver of a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo lost control while negotiating the ramp and crashed into a wall, causing fatal injuries to Aguilera, according to the CHP.
The car’s three occupants were transported to Valley Medical Center, the CHP reported. The driver, 20-year-old Luis Antonio Banegas, was taken into custody.
