Police are looking for a man suspected of inappropriately touching a woman as she walked down a Santa Cruz street early Wednesday morning.
Around 3 a.m. Wednesday, a woman was walking near the 300 block of Laurel Street when a man wearing a dark baseball cap grabbed her from behind, pushed her against a fence and threatened her, Santa Cruz police said.
The suspect put one hand into the victim’s pants and blocked her jaw with the other hand, police said.
The victim broke free after she bit one of his fingers and kicked him in the groin. She was not injured in the attack.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his late 20s to early 30s, with dark hair and brown eyes. He is around 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 215 pounds.
The man had a tattoo on the right side of his neck in cursive writing and another on his right forearm of an animal. He was unshaven and had a scar above his left eyebrow, according to police.
