A dance competition featuring professionally trained ballet and Chinese dancers is coming to Silicon Valley in January.
The Silicon Valley International Dance Competition, now in its fourth year, will take place from Jan. 21 to 23, 2011.
The competition, which aims to fuse the East and West through ballet, free-style modern dance and Chinese dance, is organized by Ann Woo of Chinese Performing Arts of America, Dennis Nahat of Ballet San Jose and by China-based Dalian Northeastern Asia Production Company.
In addition to the competition, there will also be an offering of master classes in ballet, modern dance and modern jazz, Chinese dance and Indian dance for contestants and non-contestants alike.
