Vegetation fire burns four acres near Highway 198

More than 60 firefighters responded to a vegetation fire today that burned about 4 acres near state Highway 198 in Monterey County, according to Cal Fire.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at about 11:20 a.m. near Priest Valley, which is east of King City.

Four fire engines, an air tactical unit, two air tankers, a helicopter and a bulldozer were called to the scene, according to Cal Fire.

The fire was limited to 4 acres and contained at about 12:30 p.m. No injuries were reported, and no structures were damaged, according to Cal Fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
