Santa Cruz County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a Pennsylvania man whose car was left parked at Big Basin Redwoods State Park for several days.
Jonathan Frank, 57, has not been reported missing, but on Tuesday afternoon California State Parks rangers found his black Kia station wagon parked in a day-use area at Big Basin Redwoods State Park.
Detectives traced the car to Frank, who has recent addresses in Southern California and in Pennsylvania with his wife, Judy.
Because the Kia had been there since Saturday, authorities became concerned about Frank’s well-being and started a search.
Inside the car, detectives found a small amount of ammunition, according to the sheriff’s office.
Search teams are scouring the park today for Frank.
He is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 150 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
Anyone with information about Frank’s whereabouts is asked to contact the investigation division at (831) 454-2311.
