Salinas police are investigating the gang-related murder of a 32-year-old man Wednesday.
The victim, identified as William Taylor, was discovered about 10:50 p.m. Wednesday in a parking lot at 973 Heather Circle, according to police. He had been shot multiple times.
Taylor was transported to a local hospital, where he died.
A witness reported seeing a male dressed in all black running north through an apartment complex in the area.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Taylor had left an apartment he had been staying at, saying he would return shortly but had not.
An autopsy was scheduled for this morning.
