Two of Morgan Hill’s “most wanted” suspects have been taken into custody, police announced today.
The first, 18-year-old Christopher Longoria, was arrested Friday in Soledad on a commercial burglary charge, according to police.
Longoria had been wanted by Morgan Hill police on a $200,000 warrant on suspicion of raping a 14-year-old girl on Sept. 9, 2009, police said.
He will be arraigned in Monterey County.
Another suspect in that case, 20-year-old Michael Hernandez, was arrested on Sept. 10, 2009, on charges of rape and violation of probation.
On Saturday, police arrested 27-year-old Christopher Haygood on a $250,000 warrant for vandalism and making criminal threats on Dec. 10, 2009.
Officers found Haygood hiding under a futon mattress in a bedroom at a home on Berry Court in Morgan Hill after receiving an anonymous tip. He was taken into custody and booked into county jail.
