A 40-year-old man who was killed in a pedestrian-versus-train accident north of Soledad on Wednesday has been identified by the Monterey County coroner’s office as Jose Alberto Tacuba Cisneros.
Tacuba Cisneros, a King City resident, was killed at about 5 p.m. on railroad tracks near U.S. Highway 101 and Camphora Road.
His death was deemed an accident, according to the coroner’s office.
Witnesses said he was walking along the tracks by himself listening to an MP3 player and didn’t hear or see the train coming, the coroner’s office said.
