A flight headed from Mineta San Jose International Airport to Houston was diverted this morning because of an “unruly” passenger, a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman said.

Continental Airlines Flight 1576 was headed to George Bush Intercontinental Airport but was diverted to Albuquerque, N.M., after an on-board emergency occurred, FAA spokesman Ian Gregor said.

The plane landed safely at 9:30 a.m., he said.
