A San Jose high school badminton coach was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a teen girl, police said today.

Trung Alex Dinh, a 21-year-old San Jose resident, was arrested at his home Wednesday morning for sexual assault on a minor under the age of 18 years, police Sgt. Ronnie Lopez said.

Dinh is a seasonal badminton coach at Piedmont Hills High School, but police believe he might have also provided informal coaching at community centers and athletic venues in San Jose and Fremont, Lopez said.

The sexual assault occurred repeatedly during the course of the last two months, Lopez said.

Dinh had befriended the victim and knew her, Lopez said.
