Petaluma police on Friday arrested a man on suspicion of attempting to steal a car from a dealership.
Around 1:30 a.m., an officer saw a Dodge Challenger had been from its place at the Autoworld dealership, located at 1370 Auto Center Drive, according to police.
The officer walked over and saw condensation inside the Dodge and a man trying to start the car, according to police.
He arrested the man, identified as 37-year-old Petaluma resident Ryan Gardea, on suspicion of moving the Dodge, valued at $43,000, from its location and attempting to steal it, according to police.
Gardea, who was on probation, was allegedly found with methamphetamine and a stun gun.
He was booked into Sonoma County jail.
