The California Department of Transportation will close alternating lanes of state Highway 9 between Graham Hill/Bennett Street and San Lorenzo Way in the community of Felton near Santa Cruz beginning today to allow crews to conduct a soil investigation project.
The investigation will take place from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. over a four-day period ending Friday.
The investigation is being conducted as a follow-up to a recent utility location project.
