Police identify motorcyclist killed in crash Saturday

Police have identified a motorcyclist who died in a crash in San Jose Saturday night as 40-year-old San Jose resident Patrick Rogers.

Rogers’ white 1999 Harley Davidson rear-ended a black 2005 Cadillac Escalade as he drove west on Cherry Avenue at Geomax Court at about 10:20 p.m. Rogers was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Escalade, 51-year-old San Jose resident Christopher Caprino, was not at fault, but officers arrested him for driving under the influence, police said.
