A two-alarm house fire in Cupertino early this morning caused an estimated $616,000 in damage and displaced two people, a chief fire investigator with the Santa Clara County Fire Department said.
The fire was reported in a home near Deeprose Place and Price Avenue around 3:20 a.m. and was controlled within two hours.
Chief fire investigator Dennis Johnsen said the fire started in a fifth-wheel trailer and also damaged the house, consequently displacing its occupants.
A neighboring house and two vehicles were also damaged in the fire, Johnsen said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
