The National Start! Walking Day, taking place across the country today, calls upon Americans to bring sneakers to work in order to walk 30 minutes each day.
According to the American Heart Association, a half-hour walk at least five days a week helps reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.
Today’s event is being held in the City Hall rotunda at 200 E. Santa Clara St.
