Caltrans will shut down U.S. Highway 101 in Santa Clara County at Tully Road beginning tonight and lasting through the weekend to allow crews to perform bridge demolition work.
Both the northbound and southbound lanes will be closed from 11:30 p.m. tonight to 5:30 a.m. Saturday. The closure will take place again Saturday from midnight until 7 a.m. Sunday. On Sunday, the freeway will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday.
Motorists on southbound Highway 101 will be detoured to the westbound Tully Road off-ramp. From there, they should take Tully Road westbound to McLaughlin Avenue, turn left on McLaughlin Avenue, go south to Capitol Expressway, and turn left on Capitol Expressway to the southbound Highway 101 on-ramp.
Drivers on northbound Highway 101 will be detoured to the eastbound Tully Road off-ramp. From there, they can take Tully Road eastbound to King Road, turn left on King Road, then travel north to Story Road, and turn left on Story Road to the northbound Highway 101 on-ramp.
