A woman was assaulted at De Anza College in Cupertino this morning, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies responded around 8:40 a.m. to a report of an assault and battery at the campus.
The victim told deputies a man approached her while she was walking and asked her for assistance. She said as they neared the parking garage, the man grabbed her and began choking her until she was unconscious, according to sheriff’s officials.
When she regained consciousness, the suspect was gone and several people were standing over her asking if she was okay, she told deputies.
The suspect is described as a white man, standing at about 5 feet 4 inches tall with light blonde hair. He was wearing a green sweater with white lettering and blue jeans. The victim said he spoke with a Russian accent.
