A 73-year-old San Jose woman was in critical condition today after she was struck by a sedan in Milpitas this morning.
The woman was crossing an intersection in the 1300 block of Calaveras Boulevard near Carnegie Drive when she was knocked down by a blue 2000 Saturn at about 8:10 a.m., according to police.
She was transported to a hospital with several injuries and was listed in critical condition.
The driver of the Saturn was an 18-year-old woman from Milpitas. Police said she remained at the scene.
