San Pablo police are investigating the shooting of a 38-year-old local man that took place in the city Friday night.
Officers received a report of the shooting at about 7:20 p.m. in the 1700 block of Costa Avenue in Richmond, where the victim was found following the shooting in the 1800 block of 18th Street in San Pablo, San Pablo Police Department Lt. Ken Bays said.
The victim was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek to be treated for gunshot wounds to his stomach, Bays said.
The victim’s injuries are not life threatening, however he was being uncooperative with police and medical staff, making the investigation difficult, Bays said.
