A 92-year-old woman was killed in a solo-vehicle crash in Carmel on Thursday morning, according to the Monterey County coroner’s office.
Mildred Ferguson, a resident of Carmel, was driving south on Outlook Drive north of Pine Hills Drive around 11 a.m. when she suddenly left the roadway and landed in a ravine 75 feet below.
By the time emergency medical personnel reached her, she had died inside her car.
An autopsy for Ferguson will be conducted today.
