The connector ramp from northbound state Highway 87 in San Jose to Interstate Highway 280 has been reopened following a brush fire this afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A motorist reported a brush fire in an area between state Highway 87 and a bike path around 2:10 p.m., fire Capt. Mary Gutierrez said.
Firefighters responded and found two separate fires in the area equaling an acre, but they had both under control at about 3:20 p.m.
The CHP closed the connector because the brush fire was burning near the ramp, Officer Mark Johnston said.
No injuries were reported.
A Sig-alert was lifted at 3:21 p.m. and all lanes were reopened.
