Four teenagers were arrested over the weekend in connection with an auto burglary ring in Morgan Hill, according to police.
A police officer patrolling the neighborhood saw four people who appeared suspicious near Monterey Road and Central Avenue around 1:25 a.m. on Saturday, according to police.
All four ran away from the officer, and as he followed them, a man flagged him down and told him that four people had tried to break into his car, police said.
Additional officers arrived and arrested three of the four suspects. They were identified as Rayel Surber, 19, Angelica Martinez, 18, and Rafael Anaya, 18, of Morgan Hill.
The fourth suspect fled, but an officer found and arrested him the following night on Monterey Road at Fourth Street. He was identified as Robert Jaime, 19, of Morgan Hill.
Officers recovered items stolen in three separate auto burglaries, according to police.
All four suspects were booked into Santa Clara County Jail on charges of possession of stolen property and conspiracy.
The Police Department is reminding residents to close the windows of their cars, lock the doors and remove from view all personal items such as purses, wallets, radios, phones and laptops.
