The Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office has identified a man whose body was found slumped over in some bushes near Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto on Thursday as 68-year-old Raymond Vieira.
Vieira’s body was found around 11:50 a.m. by a construction worker on the far east side of a construction site at 222 Quarry Road, police Sgt. Rich Bullerjahn said. The site is next to the Hoover Pavilion at Stanford Hospital.
Bullerjahn said it appeared Vieira had been deceased for some time, but he could not say how long.
He said detectives did not find any signs of foul play. The death remains under investigation.
