The San Francisco Neighborhood Parks Council will host an annual event to highlight the city’s failing playgrounds and the importance of play.
Held in partnership with the city’s Recreation and Park Department, this year’s “Play Day” activities will include a workday with volunteers along with face painting and storytime for families.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. at McCoppin Square Playground, 24th Avenue and Taraval Street.
