The city of Saratoga announced two community walks coming up the summer to go along with the one scheduled for this month.

The first walk is scheduled for May 18 at the Congress Springs Quarry and will be led by Councilman Howard Miller and members of the parks and recreation commission. “Let’s Walk Saratoga!” will begin with a ceremony at 9:30 a.m. at 21330 Big Basin Way.

The second walk is set for July 13 at Villa Montalvo, and the third will be held Aug. 24 at Parker Ranch.

The parks and recreation commission created the program to help Saratoga meet its goal of becoming a Let’s Move city, an initiative started by First Lady Michelle Obama to encourage local governments to develop long-term, sustainable approaches to reducing childhood obesity.
