The Village will be transformed into a car lover’s dream on July 21 for the fourth annual Saratoga Classic Car Show that will feature more than 150 colorful new and classic cars and trucks from all over the world.

The event, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., is once again being produced by the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Cool Car Club of Saratoga and Los Gatos. The purpose of the event, according to organizers, is to boost business for Saratoga merchants and to provide a fun event for car enthusiasts.

In addition to the display of exotic and classic cars, this year’s event will feature flags, vendors, live radio broadcasts, music and beer and wine tasting. Attendees will be able to purchase tickets for wine tasting at tasting rooms in the Village, with five tickets for $25. Tickets will be sold at the Chamber of Commerce and outside Cinnabar.

Along with beer and wine, an assortment of food will also be available for purchase from various restaurants. Local artisans will be sampling and selling their gourmet food products.

The event is open to the public, and admission is free. Organizers are anticipating anywhere from 4,000 to 5,000 attendees.

Additional activities are planned on the day prior to the event. Among them are a car cruise and lunch on the morning of July 20 and a VIP reception with wine, food, music and auction items in the evening. A VIP gold package includes overnight accommodations at the Inn at Saratoga for two, in addition to all activities on July 20 and 21, including VIP parking and lunch. The cost for the VIP gold package is $525 per couple until July 7 and $650 thereafter.

According to Tiger Teerlink, vice president of the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce and chief organizer of the car show, the car cruise entails visits to three local wineries along with lunch. Afterward, the couples will have a chance to taste wine from three local wineries at Ruthe Roberts Wine Collective, as well as sample food from nearby restaurants, including Hong’s Gourmet, Bella Saratoga, Masu, Big Ed’s, Bai Tong and Florentine. The wine tasting will be accompanied by a silent auction to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Laura Ness, a member of the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce board of directors, noted that the new events highlight Saratoga’s mountain roads and winery destinations, as well as the cuisine and wine tasting options in the Village.

“Saratoga welcomes epicurean travelers and classic car lovers to an unparalleled weekend of high octane fun and excitement,” she said.
