Pranic healer in Saratoga to offer a free workshop at Pisani Center

By Khalida Sarwari

Anyone over the age of 25 is probably no stranger to aches and pains, but before looking up expensive surgery options, it’s worth considering pranic healing, a method that’s similar to acupuncture but with a twist.

Stephen Co, a pranic healer from the Philippines, is coming to Saratoga on Aug. 11 to offer a free workshop on this method at the Joan Pisani Community Center. He’ll discuss the unique healing technique, then lead a group healing session.

Advocates of the method claim it goes to the source of the ailments–the chakras in the body, which in Hindu tradition are energy points or nodes, and is based on the idea that the body is a self-repairing entity that possesses the ability to heal itself.

Aside from aiding in the healing of aches and diseases such as arthritis and diabetes, some believe pranic healing helps lower stress, boost vitality and accelerate the healing of common health problems.

The Saratoga Hindu Temple is hosting the workshop, in addition to pranic healing classes it offers every Sunday at the community center. Those classes begin at 3 p.m.

The workshop with Co will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the multipurpose room, 19655 Allendale Ave., Saratoga. Reservations are required and can be made online at tinyurl.com/SaratogaClass. Visit pranichealing.com/master-stephen-co for more information abut Co.
