The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency executed a general search warrant this morning at the Novato Sanitary District office after being tipped off to an anonymous allegation, according to a manager at the agency.
About a dozen members of the EPA arrived at about 8 a.m. this morning to search through the agency’s records from 2006 and 2007 and were still on scene early this afternoon, manager Beverly James said.
Members of the FBI are assisting in the effort. Officers with the Novato Police Department were also briefly there, James said.
James said she didn’t know what the agencies were searching for.
