The Chabot Space and Science Center in Oakland is planning to host the Oakland Unified School District’s Science Fair on Wednesday.
The event will exhibit over 180 science projects from 32 elementary, middle and high schools. The students spent weeks preparing for the event and integrating skills they learned in math, reading, writing, oral presentation and research.
“The annual Oakland Unified School District Science Fair is a voyage of discovery motivated by students’ curiosity,” Oakland Unified School District science manager Caleb Cheung said in a statement.
The fair will be held at 10 a.m. and will culminate with a celebration at 5 p.m. at the science center, which is located at 10000 Skyline Blvd.
