Help parks, rec commission members clean brush from trails at Quarry Park

By Khalida Sarwari

Residents are invited to join members of the parks and recreation commission as they attempt to remove wild bush and broom and clear the trail paths at Quarry Park on June 4 so that visitors can walk farther up the trail.

The Let’s Work Saratoga Volunteer Program allows volunteers to enjoy nature, beautify the trails and help the city maintain the newly opened Quarry Park. Volunteers should bring gardening gloves, sunscreen and water, and wear long sleeves and closed-toed shoes.

The activity will take place, weather permitting, from 9 a.m. to noon at 22000 Congress Springs Road in Saratoga.
