A man suspected of kidnapping an 11-year-old girl from a home in San Jose early this morning is considered armed and dangerous, according to police.
Tri Truong Le, 42, is suspected of kidnapping 11-year-old Taylor Vo around 1:20 a.m. from his ex-girlfriend’s home in the 2600 block of Taffy Drive. Taylor is the daughter of Le’s ex-girlfriend.
An Amber Alert has been issued statewide.
Police said Le forced his way into the residence and assaulted a family member before firing several shots inside the home.
No one inside the house was struck, police said.
He then went into Taylor’s bedroom and took her from the home at gunpoint.
Le fled with Taylor in a late model, dark colored minivan, which was described by witnesses as possibly “American made,” according to police.
Police said Le’s criminal history includes domestic violence and driving under the influence.
Police have released pictures of both Le and Taylor. Le is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a black jacket and blue jeans, police said.
Taylor is described as being 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 105 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair with blonde highlights.
