Campbell’s 18th annual Oktoberfest, taking place Oct. 13-14, is known to be a festive celebration of beer and bratwurst, but prior to indulging, residents are encouraged to participate in a 5K run and walk at the Campbell Park.
The fifth annual Oktoberfest 5K Fun Run and Walk will begin at 9 a.m. Oct. 13 at the basketball courts near Campbell and Gilman avenues.

The registration fee is $25 for adults and $19 for youth ages 19 and under.
Those who preregister by 5 p.m. Oct. 5 will receive a free race T-shirt. Participants can also register after 8 a.m. on race day.
