The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors will consider making midyear revisions to the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center budget at its meeting today.

The hospital is facing a $58 million to $60 million budget deficit.

The board will consider Valley Medical Center’s proposed budget and operational adjustments that would generate $28.3 million during the current fiscal year.

The board will also consider the county executive’s proposed $30 million in bridge funding to the hospital from the general fund.

The changes are expected to save Valley Medical Center $56 million to $60 million and allow the hospital to operate within budget in the 2013 fiscal year, according to a hospital administration memo.
