A Catholic church in San Francisco was defaced with spray-painted graffiti depictions of swastikas overnight, police said today.
A Most Holy Redeemer Church employee reported the incident at about 6:30 a.m. at 100 Diamond St., Lt. Neville Gittens said.
The employee told police that when he left the night before, the church had not been defaced, Gittens said.
Police are investigating the vandalism as a hate crime.
