Two people, including a juvenile, were arrested in connection with a pair of residential burglaries in Saratoga on April 22.
The first occurred in the 18000 block of Westview Drive at about 10:40 a.m., according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responding to a call of a suspicious person in the area arrived to find a person flagging them down. The resident told the deputies that several males were trying to break into a home on that street. When deputies tried to take the individuals into custody, they tried to flee, according to the sheriff’s office.
While deputies were investigating that case, another resident reported that a house in the 18000 block of Kosich Drive had just been burglarized. Deputies went inside that home to collect evidence, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies eventually arrested the first suspect, identified as Quang Ho, a 24-year-old San Jose man, on suspicion of burglary, attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools and conspiracy. The second suspect led deputies on a chase, prompting an extensive yard-to-yard search, but they caught up with him and took him into custody. He was identified as a 17-year-old from San Jose. Deputies did not name him or the charges against him, because he is under age.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact detective Sgt. Lehmann or detective Welch at the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office West Valley Division at 408.868.6628 or call the anonymous tip line at 408.808.4431.
