Gov. Brown attending ribbon-cutting ceremony for new Dell campus

Gov. Jerry Brown is in Santa Clara this morning for the opening of Dell’s new research and development center.

The governor was scheduled to join the company’s chairman and CEO Michael Dell for a 10:30 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5480 Great America Parkway.

Afterward, the company is hosting an on-site career fair to recruit employees for the new center.

Dell currently employs nearly 1,500 people in the Bay Area, according to the governor’s office.
