Watson, the IBM computer that beat two all-time champions in the quiz show ‘Jeopardy’ earlier this year, is making an appearance at Stanford University tonight.

The artificial intelligence computer system, named after IBM’S first president, Thomas Watson, is capable of answering questions, an ability that helped Watson beat Brad Rutter, the biggest all-time money winner and Ken Jennings, the record holder for the longest championship streak.

Tonight, Watson will appear at Stanford with Eric Brown, an IBM research scientist, who will discuss “Journey to Jeopardy and Beyond.” The discussion will be followed by a “Jeopardy” exhibition match at the CEMEX Auditorium in the Knight Management Center.

Also, an expert panel will talk about the future of technology advances like Watson and the skills students should have to take advantage of technology breakthroughs as they prepare to enter the workforce.
