A community meeting will be held on May 29 in Saratoga regarding the West Valley Collection & Recycling contract with the West Valley Solid Waste Management Authority.
The contract with WVCR expires in February 2014, and during the meeting the options associated with extending the contract for up to 10 years will be discussed. WVCR is the garbage and recycling hauler that serves the municipalities of Saratoga, Campbell, Los Gatos and Monte Sereno.
Both residential and commercial customers from the four municipalities are invited to attend the event, which will be held at 7 p.m. at the Joan Pisani Community Center, 19655 Allendale Ave. in Saratoga.
A second community meeting on the topic is scheduled for June 5 at 7 p.m. at the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno police operations building, 15900 Los Gatos Blvd. in Los Gatos.
