Two men are facing felony charges after attempting to burglarize a home in San Jose earlier this week that contained more than 100 marijuana plants.

Clifton Van Tran, 18, of San Jose, and Hoa Hien Pham, 20, of Seaside, have been charged with one count of burglary and one count of attempted burglary, according to the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office.

The two were arrested on Tuesday after police found them inside a house in the 600 block of Giraudo Drive around 1 p.m.

The residents of the house were not home at the time of the burglary and police have not yet determined whether the suspects targeted the house specifically for the marijuana plants.

Police believe that shortly before Tran and Pham entered the residence on Giraudo Drive, they had attempted to burglarize a nearby home.

Both suspects were booked into Santa Clara County Jail and their bail was set at $100,000. Pham was also booked on outstanding drug-related warrants.

They will appear in court on Nov. 23.
