Northbound U.S. Highway 101 will be closed overnight between Third Avenue in San Mateo and Broadway in Burlingame beginning early Thursday, according to the California Department of Transportation.
From midnight until 5 a.m. Thursday through Saturday mornings, northbound lanes will be closed to allow crews to continue construction of the Peninsula Avenue overcrossing.
Northbound traffic will need to exit at Third Avenue and will be redirected onto the highway at Peninsula Avenue.
Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to take alternate routes.
