Opera San Jose is offering a free preview of an upcoming production at San Jose’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library this afternoon.
Portions of Verdi’s “La Traviata” are being performed at the library, located at 150 E. San Fernando St., at noon. Tickets to a normal performance typically cost between $50 and $100.
Prior to the performance, Opera San Jose’s general manager Larry Hancock and members of the cast will be available for interviews, and after the show there will be a panel discussion and question-and-answer session with members of the creative team.
“La Traviata” will be performed from Feb. 11 through Feb. 26 at the California Theatre. More information about the opera and purchasing tickets is available at operasj.org.
