The Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office has identified a man who was struck and
killed by a vehicle in San Jose on Friday as 61-year-old Richard Lockwood.
The collision happened at Story Road and Bedford Street at about 6:40 p.m.
Lockwood, of San Jose, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Officer Jose Garcia.
No arrests have been made.
The death marks San Jose’s 16th fatal vehicle-pedestrian traffic collision of the year, according to the Police Department.
