Santa Cruz police are searching for a suspect who robbed a Chase bank Thursday.
The robbery occurred around 11 a.m. at a branch at 730 Ocean St., according to police.
Witnesses told police the suspect approached a teller and handed over a note demanding money. The teller obeyed his request and the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot toward Water Street, police said.
Some witnesses said the suspect entered a vehicle in the 500 block of Water Street.
The suspect was described as a man in his early to mid 20s, of medium build, and with short light hair and freckles.
No one was harmed during the robbery and no weapon was seen, according to police.
