Police release photos of man wanted in November robbery at check-cashing business

San Jose police today released images of a man who robbed a cash advance business at gunpoint in November.

The robbery happened around 10 a.m. on Nov. 29 at Advance America, located at 5667 Snell Ave., police said.

The suspect, who has not yet been identified, walked into the business as soon as it opened, brandished a black handgun and demanded money from an employee. The employee handed him an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled on foot, according to police.

Witnesses described the suspect as a black man between 40 to 50 years old, standing at about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He had a medium complexion and was wearing a beige English-style cap, dark sports jacket, black gloves, and black sunglasses.

Witnesses said he was speaking with a Jamaican accent.
