A power outage that impacted about 1,100 south San Jose residents this morning was caused by equipment failure, according to a PG&E spokeswoman.
The power outage started at 4:26 a.m. and power was restored at about 5:50 a.m., utility spokeswoman Monica Tell said.
Tell said the outage was caused by a broken insulator on one of the power poles.
The area that was affected is bordered by Branham Lane and Monterey, Umbarger and Senter roads.
