Two people died in a head-on collision on state Highway 152 in unincorporated Santa Clara County near the San Benito county line this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at about 9:55 a.m. on Highway 152 east of Bell Station Road, CHP Officer A. Paulson said.
A man driving a Ford pickup truck traveling west on the highway lost control and collided head-on with a Honda Civic going east.
The driver and passenger in the Honda were killed upon impact, Paulson said.
The victims, a man and woman, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford was not injured, Paulson said.
All lanes of the highway reopened as of 1:45 p.m., Paulson said.
Alcohol and speed were not factors in the crash, she said.
