Saratoga residents are invited to participate in a flash mob dance on Valentine’s Day to raise awareness about violence against women.
Part of a worldwide movement called “One Billion Rising for Justice,” the event will be taking place on Feb. 14 at 4 p.m. at Santana Row and is free to participate. Another event will be held on Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. at the Saratoga Farmers Market.
Co-chaired by Dr. Becky Coggins, Pragati Grover and Katherine Tseng, the One Billion Rising event is a global call to female survivors of violence to break their silence and release their stories through art, dance, marches, ritual, song, spoken word and testimonies.
